The brand was founded in 2014 by Ahlem Manai Platt, a French designer based in LA .
After experience with apparel brands such as Acne Studios and Miu Miu, AHLEM has entered the world of eyewear, where functionality and fashion coexist.
AHLEM's approach to design is strongly influenced by the Bauhaus movement of the early 20th century, and aims to integrate art into everyday life, never being influenced by trends and always aiming for simple, comfortable, and beautiful designs.
AHLEM is a huge lover of Paris and is heavily inspired by its architecture and people, with its models named after neighborhoods and streets in the city.

The glasses are manufactured in the Jura region of France, famous for its production of glasses. Each pair is carefully handcrafted by artisans.
