初代EYEVANデザインチームから受け継いだ1972年のカタログに掲載されていたイタリアンヴィンテージが着想源。そのフレームからからメタル曲智を採用し、テンプル形状は立体的なデザインにアップデートした。フロントには現デザインチームのアイデアストックにあったウェリントンシェイプを合わせた。ヨロイにはFrank Lloyd Wrightの積み木から着想を得てデザインされた新しい飾りパーツを配し、シンプルな要素から構築的なデザインヘ昇華されたモデルとなった。

In 1989, the company signed a license agreement with Oliver Peoples to manufacture and sell glasses, and became well-known domestically.
After that, Ivan's development was temporarily suspended, but was revived in 2018.
