Item description

This model features the "365"-type cored temples released in the 2025 Spring/Summer collection. The warm square shape, composed of slightly slanted temple tips and soft lines, is nicknamed "crab-eye" due to its resemblance to the jigs used in factories. The temples, which bulge toward the joints, are sampled from French vintage styles of the 1950s. Rather than using cored temples to showcase an extravagant temple core, this manufacturing method was used as a means to realize a distinctive temple outline that could not be achieved by shooting. The brand's signature recessed 1-pin riveted hinge structure uses 10K rivets. While based on relentless attention to detail and creative thinking, the finished product has an extremely tranquil presence. The sunglasses feature original "Eyvan Curve Lenses," made in Japan using glass lenses that are individually molded after melting, with the color blended by mixing metal particles.

Brand

EYEVAN 7285(JP)

EYEVAN was launched in 1972 with the concept of "glasses to wear" and expanded globally in 1985. EYEVAN products still timeless, and in their products and handwritten drawings you can sense the high level of skill of the manufacturers and craftsmen, as well as the imagination and strong enthusiasm of the design team at the time. After about 40 years, in 2013, a new design team took over EYEVAN's craftsmanship and created the EYEVAN 7285 collection, which is what they now consider to be truly beautiful.

The design sources for EYEVAN 7285 are various objects such as old glasses, telescopes, hand mirrors and other old tools collected by the original design team, man-made objects such as buildings that the designers themselves saw, and natural and natural objects.

These numerous design sources are blended together and incorporated into the product of glasses. The temples are inspired by French forks made in the 1940s, the metal frame incorporates the structure of vision test frames from the 1970s, and the parts are decorated with patterns inspired by the arabesque patterns of old Japanese temples, which are examples of this idea. EYEVAN 7285 products are also produced through a combined production process that combines the handwork of skilled eyeglass craftsmen in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, a world-class eyeglass production area, with machine-made products using the latest machinery. The eyeglasses, which are made by combining traditional and new manufacturing methods, often have simple and casual designs at first glance, but the details are highly skilled, and many of the processes are done by hand by a limited number of craftsmen with particularly high skills in Sabae. The eyeglasses are carefully made over a period of time through approximately 400 steps, and can be said to be modern crafts rather than industrial products.
